The International Relations Career Challenge 2016 took place in the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, New York, United States on 23 – 27 May, 2016.
Participants from different countries and with diverse backgrounds actively participated in the program. It was attended by young professionals of 15 different nationalities, including Belgium, Brazil, China, the Dominican Republic, Ghana, India, the Kyrgyz Republic, Lebanon, Mexico, Nepal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. Professional backgrounds of the attendees included international relations, healthcare, education, human rights, law, economics, finance, communication and journalism.
Congratulations to the team of Burundi for winning the IRCC 2016! The team consisted of Ms.Sandhiya Pachiappan, Mr. Dieter Alexander Lehmann Morales and Ms.Halle Elizabeth Price.
As per our survey conducted 4 months after the IRCC 2016 program has finished, 29% of the participants were employed in the United Nations system organisations. Stories of the participants who agreed to share their success are presented here.
Other participants proceeded further with their studies or got employed in public and private sector organisations after completing the program.
